Ruler on Ice the winner of the 143rd belmont stakes is back at his home barn at Mammouth Park
the son of Roman ruler returned to belmont after shocking the racing world in saturdays
belmont stakes trainer kelly breen said it would be likely that ruler on ice would be entered
in the million dollar haskell stakes at mommouth park on july 31st and then the Travers
stakes on august 27, at saratoga

Berry Irwin the head of Team valor said most likley Animal kingdom would be run on turf again and
most likely be entered in the turf race The Alington Mile and then they would think about the Travers

Animal Kingdoms Owners and john velazquez Still Upset over Incident in belmont

Barry Irwin head of the International syndicate team valor racing and owner of Animal kingdom
and jockey john velazquez are still upset over the being hit by another horse after the start of the race
the jockey and team owners complained to the stewards after the race but the final outcome
was that there was no foul and it was just a unlucky break that happens in racing. Velazquez
first blamed fellow jockey Maragh for causing the incident but Barry Irwin said publicly
that he didnt think Maragh did anything wrong or intentional Maragh released a statement
that it was just one of those things that can go wrong in racing jnust a bad break the
incident cost animal kingdom too much time and put him too far back early in the race

Ruler on Ice 24-1 shot won the belmont stakes handily on a sloppy track another long shot Stay thirsty finished
second the  exacta for those who were lucky enough to have it payed over 900.00 dollars the race was not without incident as the favorite Animal kingdom clicked heels with another horse shortly after leaving the gate rider
john velazquez almost fell from animal kingdom and regained his balance but lost his Irons and lost all chance
of winning after the early incident all five of the top five contenders all had sub par races never finished in the money Brillant Speed ran a good race and had a great chance but was outrun to the wire by ruler on ice and stay thirsty and one more time belmonts mile and a half was won by a horse a big odds

This years belmont stakes is looking to be a great race with the preakness and derby winners
along with several other horses that could have a shot at the race  a solid field this year
in a race thats so different than the other two triple crown races its the longest at a grueling
mile and a half over that massive course with wide sweeping turns nicknamed big sandy
its makeup mostly a sand base makes it even tougher at such along distance many horses
fall victim to making there moves to early in the backstretch leaving them flat on the stretch

Animal kingdom 2-1 favorite in belmont stakes june 11th

Animal kingdom is the 2-1 favorite in this weeks belmont stakes in elmont ny a field of twelve
will run in the oldest and longest race in the triple crown races .
Nehro , mucho macho man, shackleford are also top contenders
I am personally leaning towards Nehro who is currently at 4-1 odds|
he is fresh and did not run in the preakness I also like mucho macho man
at a nice price here I believe 12-1 odds could score at a price

Animal kingdom , Mucho macho man , Shackleford and Nehro seems to me this years belmont stakes could be an exciting affair the race witch at a mile and half the longest distance of the three triple crown races
I like the chances of these four horses because of there deep closing style of running its well suited
for the longer distance of this race Animal kingdom  is expected ti work out monday in new york
nehro has had very good works of late a churchill and will probaly have one last work before
the june 11th race I like the fact he is fresher than some of the others here didnt run inb the
preakness the field has not been set  yet at the time of this writing
