A look back at the Preakness

When Shackleford  won the Preakness it certainly didnt suprise me
I had singled out three horses the other two were  Dailed in and Astrology
I made my predictions on twitter a couple of hours before the race and figured
the horses with speed would would end up on the tote board at the end of the day
Animal kingdom had come up short on his bid to overtake shackleford
So there wont be any triple crown bid this year the fact is we might never see
one again and thats because horses use to run in all three races today however
with the way these races are run  a horse may be  lucky enough to win the derby
and preakness they must now run against fresh horses in the belmont the longest
and most grueling race of the three triple crown events as we have seen in recent
years when horses won the first two legs and then had there bids cut short at the belmont
by a fresh horse that had not run in the preakness or the derby it make it almost unfair
And at the same time makes that day back a few years ago when a horse called secretariant
put a show on that we probaly will never see again
